Calm Before the Storm
This was sent by dad. He said the first picture was a huge giant sand tornado and the second picture was 5 seconds later. The guys that have been there a long time said they had never seen anything like it. It moved airplanes and cause minor damage. For us in Arizona, we might call it a dust devil, but then again I have never seen a wide one. I guess you wouldn't want to be caught in the middle of it.

Is that a CAMEL???
Linzi is riding a camel. She had it on her myspace and I thought it was so neat I asked her if I could post it. She said she didn't want to ride it, because they stink, spit, and yell when people are on their back. But she said while she was riding the camel didn't do any of that stuff, but also wouldn't kneel to let her down. But all is all she said it was a fun and gross expereince.

Cherry Blossoms March 08
This is for Joe and Lynnae, because you might get here after the Cherry Blossoms are all gone. But for now they are beautiful. Sorry Japanese weather is so unpredictable and it was been extremely Springish. Once it rains the flowers will all fall off, but the trees then turn a beautiful green from the leaves.

Just wanted to show a picture of Linzi and her husband, Matt Kerr. They were married in October, but can't remember the date. Linzi and Matt are both in the Army. Loni and I got the chance to meet Matt and decided he was a keeper. He seemed respectful to Linzi and to us. He was very good with all the children that bombarded his apartment. Linzi says she misses him a lot as she is deployed right now for 15 months. She is hoping to have a ceremonial wedding when she returns, but for now they went to the judge. Sorry so long for getting this picture out.

Hello,
Thank you for visiting our blog. We visited Sapporo, Hakkiado, a Japanese island Feb 4-6,08 for their annual snow fesitval. It was a lot of fun and good to get a way. We stayed outside in temps. of -2.5 to -4 C's. That is pretty cold. In the 20's F. It also snowed and it was so heavy at times you could hardly see. The little Japanese grade school kids would bombard the foreigners to find out where you are from and if they can practice their enlgish with you. It was fun at first, but then we couldn't get away from them. So we felt like Britney Spears being followed by the papparazzi. We even would turn away from them so they wouldn't bother us. But part of the adventure. We also went to a Yakiniku all you eat Lamb and beef. Couldn't tell the difference so I ate everything. It was also all you can drink. And yes, we drank coke only. We went up in the Sapporro tower (90m) and couldn't look at the snow festival up high. This is the 3rd tower we have been in since arriving to Japan. I think there is 6 or 7 total. Anyway it was fun and the file might take a little bit to load, so stay patient and enjoy a piece of the snow and Japan.
